Our top product updates from Stripe Tour New York
This morning at Stripe Tour New York, we shared our biggest product updates from the last six months with founders, developers, and enterprise leaders. In our keynote, we covered Stripe’s progress in three core product areas, including how we’re rapidly expanding Stripe’s interoperability by making Radar and Billing processor-agnostic.
Increase conversion and reduce costs with global payments
Users who switch to our Optimized Checkout Suite see an average revenue uplift of 11.9%, and today we expanded our list of payment optimizations designed to further increase your revenue. We also introduced new partnerships and integrations that give you more choice in how you use Stripe with your existing in-person or online payment stack. Additionally, we shared new AI-powered features to help you combat fraud, reduce your dispute rate, and more accurately measure payments performance.
Optimized Checkout Suite
- Earlier this year, we doubled the number of payment methods we provide access to, from 50 to over 100. Today, we expanded that list by launching Billie, Capchase Pay, Kriya, Mondu, Satispay, Sequra, and Sunbit, as well as invoice payments in Germany.
- You can now accept stablecoin payments from customers around the world.
- We expanded our payment method A/B testing so you can now run tests on popular wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
- You can now provide customers with a localized checkout experience in Nigeria, and we announced we’ll support a localized experience in Indonesia next year.
- Link’s newest feature, Instant Bank Payments, is priced at 2.6% + 30¢ per successful charge (a discount to cards), allowing you to benefit from the cost savings of bank payments while getting the speed of card transactions.
- You can now use Stripe’s Optimized Checkout Suite with even more third-party payment providers. Our Vault and Forward API now supports six endpoints for payments providers, and we plan to add six more endpoints by the end of the year.
- With our new integrations for Adobe Commerce, Commercetools, SAP, and VTEX, you can now process online payments with Stripe directly in your platform of choice.
Terminal
- We announced a new partnership with FreedomPay that makes it easier to unify commerce by allowing you to process in-person payments with Stripe via third-party card readers and your existing POS system.
- We launched new direct integrations with Cegid and Oracle Xstore, which join our other connectors for third-party POS and PMS providers including Adobe, Erply, Mercaux, Retail Realm, and Tulip.
Advanced Payments Engine
- You can now use Radar with your own in-house fraud prevention system or multiprocessor setup. You have access to Radar risk scores and recommended actions for all card transactions, including those not processed on Stripe.
- We announced Smart Refunds, which uses Radar’s machine learning models to identify payments that are likely to result in disputes so you can proactively refund them.
- We now support Verifi from Visa to help you reduce your dispute rate.
- You can now more accurately measure payments performance with revamped payments analytics, starting with improved analytics for authorization and authentication.
Global payouts
- We expanded multi-currency settlement to businesses based in the US, allowing you to settle and pay out funds in currencies other than USD including AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, and JPY.
- We expanded Instant Payouts to 20 more markets in the European Union.
- We previewed a new way for you to send money to third parties with no-code Payout Links and a new Payouts API.
Grow revenue faster with our revenue and finance automation suite
We shared more than a dozen upgrades to our revenue and finance automation suite, including the largest change we’ve ever made to Billing: the ability to manage subscriptions with Stripe and process transactions by other payments providers. We also expanded support for Data Pipeline and Tax, helping you simplify compliance and close your books faster.
Billing
- We’re rolling out the ability to use Billing with multiple payment processors. Stripe subscriptions now support transactions processed by other payments providers.
- We’re introducing improved billing analytics in the Dashboard. You can filter and group metrics by product and price, and drill down on SaaS metrics.
- You can now benchmark your business performance against similar businesses on Stripe to understand where you’re excelling and where improvements can be made.
- With our usage-based billing solution, you can now offer credit burndown pricing models, enabling your customers to pay up front for a usage-based entitlement. We also raised our usage data throughput to 100,000 events per second, and you can now set threshold limits and alerts on usage.
- You can now add a 72-hour grace period on invoices with automated collections to allow your systems to include delayed data—for example, usage data—in the proper billing cycle.
- We launched Billing Specializations with 10 initial launch partners—including Hiveway, Myers-Holum, and PwC—to help you grow your revenue and optimize your billing processes.
Sigma and Data Pipeline
- We introduced a 30-day free trial for Data Pipeline, which allows you to sync your Stripe account with your data warehouse.
- You can now connect your Stripe data to more storage destinations, including Amazon S3 and Google Cloud Storage, using Data Pipeline.
- You can now visualize your SQL query results in bar or line charts with Sigma.
Tax
- We now support tax collection in 68 countries, and we plan to support more than 100 countries by the end of the year.
- Stripe now handles sales tax registration in all US states on your behalf, at no additional cost.
- You can now easily surface Stripe Tax calculations within your ecommerce platform with new Tax connectors for Adobe, BigCommerce, and WooCommerce.
- We now support global filing thanks to new third-party filing integrations with HOST, Marosa, and Taxually.
